Age of Stupid
Has Mastt shown this film? They are allowing people to show it for free. Could we organise a screening?

The "Stupid" website is pretty cool too. F

As far as I was aware they are charging for the license fee on a sliding scale of £50 - £200 based upon the number of people that will be seeing it. They only way we would be able to screen it would be for us to charge for it. If it is actually free, could you let me know where you've seen the information and I will check it out.
It would be great to show people this film, I really enjoyed it and I think it's important for lots of people to see it.
Hi Tiff, Have just read the website properly and it looks like there is a sliding scale of charges so you are probably right. Darn.
The not stupid website is very annoying in terms of navigation, but has some interesting stuff on it. The newsletter is worth signing up to.
Please come along - only 100 tickets available (on the door).
Please add this to your notices or email bulletins, or email to your friends.
-----------------
'The Age of Stupid' is being screened in Mirfield on Fri 25th Sept at 7.45pm, a few days after it is launched in cinemas across the world.
This is, as far as I know, the only screening in Yorkshire outside of York and Leeds.
Better still, tickets are only £1 (available on the door) and it is being shown in a beautiful 500 year old barn by Northorpe Hall Trust, a local children's charity.
This is a disturbing and inspiring film starring Pete Postlethwaite, who is looking back from 2050 imagining that we did nothing to protect the environment. It's also about what we can do now.
See a video of the premier earlier this year at http://vimeo.com/6048944 or go to http://www.ageofstupid.net/venues/2055 for more info.
So, get the 202/203 bus from Huddersfield or Dewsbury, or get on your bike, or share a car, and I'll see you there!
The address is: Northorpe Hall, Northorpe Lane, Mirfield, WF14 0QL.
