Interesting article on Large V Small scale food production - found it counter-intuitive that large scale production would be LESS efficient. What do people think?




That is a really interesting argument I have to say. I recently met a permaculturalist who had been working Nepal for the past twenty years and he says that farmers adopting no-till, anti-green revolution food growing techniques on previously 'difficult' land were able after a few seasons to produce four times the crop yield than that of the valley farmers involved in mono-agriculture.
