A Radio Programe for you to listen to

Todays offering is a radio programme made in Canada, I believe, that opens up the concept of what resilience means.

At least at the end of listening I had a better idea of what the word means.

You may know that MASTT is working on a worksop that we will eventually be offering to any local groups that will possibly offer a route to change in how we as a group of peopel living in close proximity can bring about change in our locality. As part of that we are slowly working our way through a pile of stuff that needs to be part of what we offer in the workshop. So some of the memebrs of the core group of MASTT are currently looking at the word resilience. Resilience. Thats the word for today. We are meetig tonight before our pub night social to share how we can betetr explain that word to anyone we are talking to.

So here's the link for a radio programme that was offered to us by Steve.

I found it very interesting and thought provoking and it lasts for just under an hour.

One bit did that did make a bit of sense was when one of the speakers was saying that world leaders cannot drag us into change, that is they cannot

make us, the voters change, or they will loose what they want most, which is to lead. I suppose its like a soft shoe shuffle (an old dance phrase)

of delicately showing us what they see/know and then waiting for us to then demand action for change.

I did hear Gordon Brown in the 1st televised debate between the 3 leaders of our main political parties talking just so briefly about the challenges of peak oil. When I'd like to hear the words "peak oil" being shouted out loud by our leaders.

I've sorta assumed that they are ignoring or even maybe ignorant of what peak oil means to the world but maybe its that they simply don't know how to bring about change in a good positive way that we as voters will like to hear and then leave them in office to lead us.

Anyway do enjoy the radio programme.

Oh and there does appear to be a whole range of issues dealt with in the same way by this radio programme and the options are where this link leads you.
